Leo Brauno (b. Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany) is a visual artist whose multifaceted practice explores the tension between residue and value, nature and industry, authenticity and simulation.
Through painting, sculpture, performance, and installation, his work questions human responsibility towards waste and seeks to resignify discarded materials, granting them a new aesthetic and conceptual dignity.
Painting holds a central place in his research, serving as a foundation for experimentation with other media.
He currently lives and works between Germany and Portugal.
